The Blackest Night

Creeping shadows, and a fall from grace,
wooden feathers with no embrace.
Respite of endless, color and hue,
howls and screams, the silent blue.

Piercing panes of the blackest night,
from roaring fire, till embers plight.
Lost in the sea of silent dreams,
nose complete, last of the seams.

Sealing the lid, with kisses of steel,
obsolete till the end, a flightless keel.
Peace will be found, a boat paid by gold,
The journey complete, what lies ahead is untold.
