Child of War

Child of war,
you offspring of death.
Where shall you wonder,
and draw your breath?

Child of war,
you victim of the sea.
Do you long for the deeps,
or will you struggle to be free?

Child of war,
you legacy of the skies.
Do the screams of engines,
bring you more bombs to defy?

Child of war,
you symbol of fear.
Will you march in columns,
or don flowers to bear?

Child of war,
where does your path end?
For though the world may yet stumble,
Your kind, we never wish to meet again.
